In 2021, Spotify Technology S.A., the parent company of Spotify generated € 9,668 million in net revenue compared to € 7,880 million in 2020, YoY growth of around 23%. Its gross profit in 2021 increased to € 2.6 billion compared to € 2 billion in 2020. The net loss of the company declined to € 34 million in 2021 compared to €581 million in 2020.

Its subscriber base grew to 406 million Monthly Active Users by the end of 2021, compared to 345 million Monthly Active Users at the end of 2020. In 2020, Spotify offered its services across 93 countries and territories and entered several new markets in 2021. At the end of 2021, it offered its services across 184 countries and territories.
