In fiscal 2022, Sam’s club generated $46,822 million in net sales from the sales of Grocery and consumables in fiscal 2022 compared to $42,148 million in 2021. Sam’s club sales grew across all the merchandise categories in fy 2022 except for the smallest category which is Technology and entertainment.
2021: In fiscal 2021, Sam’s Club experienced impressive sales growth in the grocery and consumables category. However, its sales declined in the fuel, tobacco and others segment. Sam’s Club generated $42.15 billion from the sales of grocery and consumables in fiscal 2021 compared to $35 billion in 2020. Its sales in the fuel, tobacco and others segment declined from $10.6 billion in 2020 to $7.8 billion in fiscal 2021. The home and apparel as well as health segments experienced modest increase while sales in the technology and entertainment segment remained flat in fiscal 2021 compared to the previous year.
