In 2022, Meta Inc (formerly Facebook) increased its spending on marketing and sales by more than $1.2 billion compared to the prior year. The social media giant spent $15,262 million on sales and marketing in 2022 compared to $14,043 million in the prior year.

2021:  The marketing and sales expenses of Meta Inc in 2021 grew to $14.043 billion compared to $11.591 billion in 2020.

Facebook spent $9.9 billion on marketing and sales in 2019 compared to $7.85 billion in 2018.
