In 2022, Alphabet, the parent company of Google, again experienced impressive growth in its ad revenue. Compared to the previous year, its ad revenue grew by around $15 billion. The company generated $224.5 billion in ad revenue compared to $209.5 billion in 2021.
In 2021, Google experienced a sharp rise in its advertising revenues. The company generated $209.5 billion in net sales from advertising in 2021 compared to $146.9 billion in the previous year. While Google’s advertising revenues have grown by around 43% in 2021 compared to the previous year, its cloud revenues also grew by 47% in the same period. Alphabet’s (parent company of Google, revenue in 2021 was the highest in its history. It has broken the $200 billion (and $250 billion) mark for the first time in terms of net revenues in 2021.
In 2019, Google’s advertising revenue reached $134.8 billion rising from $116.5 billion in 2018.
In 2018, advertising revenue of Google grew to $116.5 Billions compared to $95.6 Billion in 2017. Other revenues of Google grew to around $20 billion. Alphabet’s total revenue form Google segment was around $136.4 billion. It constituted around 99.6% of Alphabet’s total revenue.Â
