Facebook defines Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) as its total revenue in a given geography during a given quarter, divided by the average of the number of MAUs in the geography at the beginning and end of the quarter. The chart above presents its global ARPU from 2020 to the first quarter 2023. Its global ARPU for Q1 2023 was $9.62 compared to $9.54 at the end of the same period in the previous year and $10.86 in the just previous quarter.

The global average revenue per user of Facebook at the end of 2021 increased to $11.57 compared to $10.14 at the end of 2020.

Its average revenue per user was the highest from the US and Canada at the end of 2021 when it reached $60.57 compared to $53.56 an year ago.

Facebook’s average revenue per user from Europe was $19.68 at the end of 2021 compared to $16.87 at the end of 2020.
