In 2022, the company generated $253.53 billion from Google services and $26.3 billion from Google Cloud. Google is the main source of revenue for Alphabet. The company also generated $1.07 billion from other bets and $2 billion from hedging gains.

Alphabet generated $237,529 million in net revenues from Google services in 2021 compared to $168,635 in 2020. Its Google advertising revenue jumped to $209.5 billion in 2021, compared to $146.9 billion in 2020.

The company generated $19.2 billion in 2021 from cloud services, compared to $13.06 billion in 2020.

Alphabet’s primary source of revenue is the Google segment which generates most of its revenue from advertising. Apart from that a small proportion of its revenue also comes from other bets which are businesses in their infancy or still under development and which Alphabet wants to grow into successful businesses in medium to long term.

In 2019, Alphabet’s revenues from Google segment were $160,743 million, of which $134,811 million came from advertising and $25,932 million from other sources. Alphabet’s revenues from the Other Bets was $659 million in 2019.

Total revenue of Alphabet in 2018 was $161,857 million having risen from $136,819 million the previous year.
